I-PEX's unique know-how for FPC connectors (MINIFLEX® series) to prevent empty closure

"Empty-closure", a common occurrence in manufacturing and assembly, is the operation of an actuator without inserting an FPC into the connector. It can cause connector damage or incomplete mating when the FPC is subsequently inserted. This white paper introduces the "empty-closure" issue by using I-PEX's MINIFLEX® series as an example, and how it is addressed, as well as the design know-how gained through analysis and calculation to ensure that the connector will function even if an empty closure occurs.

Active Copper Cable for the Enterprise Market Developing the CABLINE®-CA IIEQ PLUS 112G (2024/Sep/24)

In recent years, high-speed transmission in servers, switches, and other enterprise telecommunications equipment has been advancing at a rapid pace, and this has  increased the need to improve the signal integrity (SI) performance of components used in each system. To meet this demand, I-PEX is developing an active copper cable (ACC) solution called CABLINE®-CA IIEQ PLUS 112G that supports 4 lanes of 112 Gbps PAM4 high-speed transmission. This product will be exhibited at OCP 2024 to be held in San Jose, California, USA from October 15 to 17, 2024.
