New I-PEX FPC Card Edge Connector Suited for Automotive Market (2024/5/16)
Background
In recent years, in-vehicle systems have become more multi-function and smaller, making space-saving components more important.
Additionally, there is a need for lighter equipment to achieve lower fuel consumption.
To meet these demands, I-PEX is offering a new FPC card edge connector.
From May 22-24, 2024, I-PEX will display this product at the Automotive Engineering Exposition 2024 YOKOHAMA, to be held at Pacifico Yokohama.
Product Features
This FPC card edge connector is a one-piece connector that may be connected to a PCB by simply inserting an FPC. No soldering process is required, improving work efficiency.
By using this product, it is possible to eliminate the connector receptacle on the printed circuit board (PCB) and improve space efficiency by replacing discrete wires with FPC. This contributes to weight reduction of not only the connector product itself, but also the entire area around the connector.
