What is I-PEX manufacturing

Introducing What is I-PEX manufacturing, "Experts in Manufacturing Solutions" providing value in the form of inspiration and astonishment in the global marketplace.

How connectors are made

Step1
Fabrication of dies

To prepare metal and plastic parts for connectors, I-PEX manufactures metal molds, called "dies," which are necessary. I-PEX handles everything from mold design to assembly in-house.

Step2
Manufacture of
component parts

Metal and plastic parts are created using molds. Metal parts are processed by "stamping" and "plating," while plastic parts are processed by "molding."

Step3
Assembly

The completed metal parts and plastic parts are assembled. Connectors are made using an "automatic assembly machine" that performs the assembly automatically.

Step4
Inspection and
shipping

Connectors are inspected prior to shipment. Visual inspections are conducted to check for foreign matter, discoloration, and shape variations, and sample dimensions are measured using a microscope.

After the inspection process, the connectors are packed for shipment.

Complete

The shipped I-PEX connectors are in products worldwide.

How semiconductor molding equipment is made

One of the processes for manufacturing semiconductors, which are indispensable for electronic devices, is "molding," in which the semiconductors are covered with black plastic.

I-PEX designs, manufactures, and sells equipment that performs this "molding" process automatically.
